They can be used to replace a single tooth or every tooth in your mouth. Call today or book a consultation online to learn why you should consider implants to repair your fractured smile.

Dental Implants

What is a dental implant?

A dental implant is a replacement for a missing tooth root. It’s made up of a titanium post that’s inserted into your jawbone. Dr. Pechak performs the surgical portion of the implant treatment, then your general dentist attaches what’s called an abutment to this post, then tops it with a dental crown, bridge, or dentures to replace missing natural teeth.

What are the benefits of dental implants?

Dental implants are natural-looking and feeling. Unlike partial or full dentures, they don’t slip or slide. Once the implant sets into your jawbone, you won’t notice it’s there. Implants don’t come with the discomfort and hassle that conventional dentures do.

Other benefits of dental implants include:

  • A completed smile that looks beautiful and makes you feel confident
  • No effect on your speech or eating
  • Easy hygiene as you clean them just like your natural teeth
  • None of the loss of jawbone that missing teeth cause

Dental implants are among the most successful tooth-replacement procedures ever. The team at Perio & Implant Center of Monterey Bay and the Silicon Valley review your dental implant options and discuss which are most suitable for you.

What should I expect to happen during dental implant surgery?

Dental implant treatment usually takes several months. Once Dr. Pechak has determined you have healthy gum tissue and enough bone to support the implant, he schedules you for the initial surgery.

At this surgery, Dr. Pechak inserts the implant into your jawbone, where it will act as the artificial root. The implant takes 3-4 months to heal so that the bone can fuse around the screw, providing you with ultimate stability.

Once your jawbone heals, Dr. Pechak will confirm the stability of the implants, then your general dentist attaches the abutment to the implant and places a temporary crown over the abutment. He takes an impression of your smile to send to a lab, where they make a permanent crown that matches your natural teeth. At a later appointment, he seals this permanent crown in place.

What are Teeth-In-An-Hour™?

A revolutionary procedure Teeth-In-An-Hour provides you with fully functioning teeth on dental implants that take about an hour to place.

Computer-guided implant surgery to place the metal post in the jawbone is done in the least invasive way possible. The replacement teeth (crown or bridge), which was made before your implant visit, is set on the post at the same visit. With Teeth-In-An-Hour, qualified candidates can often resume their normal activities the next day with beautiful looking teeth. No more painful dentures!

Our DENTAL IMPLANTS come with a COMPLIMENTARY ANNUAL WELL CHECK for the life of the implant. WHAT THE OTHER GUYS don't want you to know, is that a DENTAL IMPLANT is an investment and needs AFTERCARE..... We only provide this for our own implants, and would not follow up on an implant placed by
another dentist. Oral Surgery practices do not provide Hygiene services for cleanings and support of the investment of a dental implant.

OUR HYGIENIST specialized in the cleaning of dental implants, and fixed teeth supported by dental implants, which is recommended each year to protect that investment, most of our Implants, last for LIFE.

Dental implants could be your perfect solution to missing teeth. Set up a consultation. Call Perio & Implant Center of Monterey Bay and the Silicon Valley or schedule an appointment online.
